Created for You Learning Academy ...

officially opened its doors in December 2000 and began as a tutorial institution (which was then known as Created for You Learning Center) for students in grades kindergarten through high school. The venture began by identifying the specific academic needs of each student through the use of various oral and written assessments.These results are utilized to prescribe a specific curriculum that fulfills the individual needs of a given student.

One's self image or self esteem is also essential to excellence in performance. Therefore, the administration, teachers, staff, parents, and guardians are committed to "Maximizing Learning" for all of the students.

Many volunteers assisted in the tutorial program during the process of its inception. Volunteerism is still a vital part of the institution's tutorial program and its new phase.

The 2003 - 2004 school year brought about a significant change to the structure and purpose of this institution. New classrooms were added with modifications to the former structure. Hence, Created for You Learning Academy became its official name.

Students in grades five through seven were the first students to enroll in this new full-time private academy. Grades pre-kindergarten through fourth and eighth were added to the curriculum for its 2004 - 2005 school year. Another major change occurred shortly thereafter.

Created for You Learning Academy enrolled its first students in grade nine for the 2008 - 2009 school year. The following school year, 2009 - 2010, the institution added grades10 -12. Hence, it became an academy for grades 
pre-k -12th. 

Since the institution's beginning in 2000, students have achieved skills that have enabled them to succesfully pass national and state tests (CAT, NC-EOG & NC-EOC and others). They have increased grade level performance at phenomenal rates and, significantly improved their self-esteem.  

Numerous students have enrolled in its after-school tutorial program and attended summer school for high school students. An impressive number of them have obtained collegiate degrees and are contributing citizens in their respected communities.

The institution continues to reach out to fulfill the academic needs of all of its students. The efforts of the administration, teachers, and staff are very indicative of the school's Mission Statement: "You Reach Out Your Hand, We Give You A Future".
